Watch and Pray – The Key to Victory
Pastor Airen continued with a powerful teaching on the importance of a consistent prayer life, drawing from Matthew 26:40 – “Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation.” He emphasised that prayer is not optional but essential for every believer who desires to live victoriously and avoid falling into temptation.
He reminded us that:
- Jesus instructed His disciples to watch and pray, especially in critical moments.
- Adam fell in the Garden of Eden because he failed to stand on God’s Word when temptation came (Genesis 3).
- In contrast, Jesus overcame every temptation by declaring “It is written” — living by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.
- We must pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17) and maintain constant communion with the Father.
Pastor Airen explained that prayer is the vehicle through which we communicate our thoughts, desires, and faith to God. When we pray according to His will and speak His Word, heaven backs our declarations with power and results.
The Power of Prophesying – Speak to Your Dry Bones
A major highlight was the teaching on the authority to prophesy. Using the powerful example from Ezekiel 37 (the valley of dry bones), Pastor Airen encouraged us to speak God’s Word directly to every dead, dry, or hopeless situation in our lives.
Key points:
- God told Ezekiel to prophesy to the dry bones: “Oh ye dry bones, hear the word of the Lord!”
- As we speak the rhema (specific Word of God) into situations, bones come together, flesh appears, breath enters, and what was dead comes back to life as an exceeding great army.
- We must not speak our fears or problems — we must speak what God says.
- Jeremiah 1:8 reminds us that God puts His words in our mouth, and we are authorised to declare them boldly.
He urged every member to rise up in faith, pray in the Spirit, and begin prophesying life, healing, increase, restoration, and breakthroughs over their families, businesses, health, and the church.
